Title:
POLYESTER THICK AND THIN COMBINED FILAMENT YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3449839
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing polyester thick and thin combined filament yarn excellent in puffy and firmness feeling and giving a natural grain tone and feeling of shade and shadow to cloth.
SOLUTION: This filament yarn is composed of a thick and thin filament A and a substantially uniform polyester filament B. The filament A is obtained by drawing in a draw ratio of 1.01-2.80 at ≤110°C using a highly oriented undrawn filament having the 0.015-0.070 of birefringence (Δn), heat treating under relaxation at 110-240°C in a lead in/lead out ratio: ≥5% using a contact type heater under the tension of 1-5g at the upper part of the heater and 1-8g of the tension at the lower part of the heater. Thus obtained polyester thick and thin filament A having the shrinkage; ≤6% in boiling water is combined with a substantiality uniform polyester filament having shrinkage; 7-25% in boiling water, in parallel or supplying A by-2-20% excess of B, by a turbulent flow treatment.
