Abstract:

To provide a polyimide precursor using an alicyclic diamine, which is produced by a production method suitable for actual industrial production and good in handleability and storage stability.

The polyimide precursor comprises unit structures represented by general formula (1), wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a 1C-4C alkyl group; and R2 and R3 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 3C-9C alkylsilyl group, wherein at least one of R2 and R3 is a 3C-9C alkylsilyl group.
