Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new Lewis acid catalyst showing high reaction activity in an aqueous medium, easy to recover and also excellent in reusability.
SOLUTION: This polymer carrying Lewis acid catalyst is constituted by bonding a Lewis acid group represented by the general formula MXn (wherein, M is a polyvalent element; X is an anion group; and (n) is an integer corresponding to the valency of M) to a polymeric film through an SO3 or SO4 group.
