To provide an excellent method of finishing a surface of a continuous footing, which effectively suppresses carbonation of continuous footing concrete, is excellent in weather resistance, staining reducing performance, and crack preventive performance of the continuous footing concrete, and improves the decorativeness of the continuous footing concrete.

The method is implemented by employing a polymer cement mortar composition for the continuous footing, mainly containing cement, fine aggregate, and a water-dispersed synthetic resin. Preferably the polymer cement mortar composition for the continuous footing contains the water-dispersed synthetic resin of 10 to 60 wt.%. According to the method of finishing the surface of the continuous footing, after application and drying of the polymer cement mortar composition for the continuous footing, a paint mainly containing a silicone modified acrylic resin and an acrylic resin is applied to the composition.
