Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer coating inorganic fine particle obtained by controlling a polymerization reaction precisely and coating inorganic fine particles with a thin polymer layer or inorganic fine particle one by one, a manufacturing method therefor, an iniferter compound and an iniferter fixed inorganic fine particles used as a material therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a polymer coating inorganic fine particle by fixing a polymer chain represented by the general formula (I) on a surface of an inorganic fine particle via an atom group Y to coat the inorganic fine particle with the polymer. In the formula (I), Y is an atom group capable of binding to a surface of an inorganic particle, X is a halogen atom, Z is a structural unit caused by a radical polymerizable monomer and n is a positive integer.
