To provide a polymer composition which can form a film exhibiting an excellent weather resistance even under severe environmental conditions by mixing a copolymer of an ultraviolet-stable radically polymerizable monomer and a hydroxylated radically polymerizable monomer, a copolymer of a carboxylated radically polymerizable monomer and a hydroxylated radically polymerizable monomer, and a copolymer of an alicyclic radically polymerizable monomer and a hydroxylated radically polymerizable monomer.
This polymer composition is prepared by mixing 2-60 wt.% copolymer (I) formed from 0.5-25 wt.% ultraviolet-stable monomer having a pyridine backbone (A), 10-50 wt.% hydroxylated monomer (D), and 25-89.5 wt.% other monomer (E), 2-60 wt.% copolymer (II) formed from 0-0.5 wt.% monomer A, 0-10 wt.% alicyclic monomer (B), 0.5-25 wt.% carboxylated monomer (C), 10-50 wt.% monomer D, and 14.5-89.5 wt.% monomer E, and 10-96 wt.% copolymer (III) formed from 0-0.5 wt.% monomer A, 10-90 wt.% monomer B, 10-50 wt.% monomer D, and 0-80 wt.% monomer E. The composition contains, based on itself, at least 0.5 wt.% units derived from monomer A, at least 9 wt.% units derived from monomer B, and at least 0.1 wt.% units derived from monomer C.
