PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer capable of suitably usable for obtaining a resin film having low tensile elastic modulus and excellent developability and tensile elongation, and, a polymer composition containing the polymer.SOLUTION: A polymer that includes a 2,5-dimethylene cyclopentane structural unit that may have an organic group at 3, 4-positions and in which 3,4-positions may form a part of a ring, a structural unit that has an ethylene group bonded to α,ω-positions of oxyalkylene and/or a structural unit that has an alkyl group at a ω-position and an ethylene group at an α-position of oxyalkylene.SELECTED DRAWING: None
