To provide a compound composed of a cyclic and/or acyclic amidine, a specific mercapto compound and a specific elastomer and capable of improving the storage stability of an unvulcanized rubber and the aging resistance of a vulcanized rubber.
This polymer compound can be produced by compounding (A) a cyclic and/or acylic amidine, (B) a mercapto compound of benzothiazole, benzimidazole, benzopyrimidine and/or benzotriazine and (C) a polymer binder consisting of an ethylene/propylene rubber, an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber, an ethylene-vinyl acetate rubber, a butadiene rubber, a styrene-butadiene rubber, natural rubber, a butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber and/or a butyl rubber. The molar ratio (A:B) is (0.25-2):1 and the amount of the component C is 90-10wt.% based on the sum of the components A to C. The component A is preferably 1,8-diazabicyclo-(5.4.0)-undecene(7), etc.
