Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte cross-linked without reducing ion exchange capacity, exhibiting high proton conductivity in a low humidification condition, and excellent in water resistance, and a membrane electrode assembly and a fuel cell including the polymer electrolyte, at low cost.SOLUTION: A cross-linked polymer electrolyte is formed using a cross-linked polymer as main constituents, the cross-linked polymer being obtained by reacting a proton conductive polymer, which has a constitutional unit represented by the following formula, with a crosslinking agent. (Y represents a proton acid group selected from among a sulfonic acid group, a phosphonic acid group, a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group, and k represents an integer of 1-4.)
