Abstract:
To provide an electrolyte membrane having excellent oxidation resistance, and in addition, provide a highly practical redox flow battery capable of achieving long-term durability by using the electrolyte membrane as a diaphragm.SOLUTION: There are provided a polymer electrolyte membrane that includes an ionic group-containing polymer (A), the polymer electrolyte membrane containing an additive that indicates an oxidation-reduction potential in a range of -0.35 V to 1.30 V, and a redox flow battery in which the electrolyte membrane is used as a diaphragm for separating a positive electrode and a negative electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
