Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a polymer film serving as a conductor by metallizing porphyrin, in which substitution by four P-X-phenyl groups (X represents a group provided with an atom bonded to a phenyl ring processing an unpaired electron pair) or by a single [2.2] paracyclophane is carried out while the residual meso position may be or may not be substituted, with a metal ion of a IB, IIB, VIB, VIIB, or VIIIB group in the reduced form. CONSTITUTION: In the polymer film, meso-aryl metal porphyrin, which can be polymerized into an oligomer electrically, is used. This composition contains meso-tetra-P-X-phenyl metal porphyrin, meso-tetra-phenyl porphyrin, in which 1-4 phenyl groups are substituted by [2.2] para-cyclophane groups, or [2.2] paracyclophane substituted porphyrin. Aryl porphyrin is metallized with the predetermined metal ion in the reduced form. The provided metal organic porphyrin is used as an electrolyte for an electrochemical cell, and when scanning is carried out at a potential of 0-1V, a polymer films is formed on a working electrode so as to work as an effective positive electrode electric catalyst, so that a potential for oxidation of water can be lowered by about 0.5V as a whole.
