Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film of which removal is not required in inspection and good in inspection properties when this film is used by sticking to a constituent member and the like of a liquid crystal displaying unit, and a polymer film to be a substrate of the above surface protective film.
SOLUTION: The polymer film composed of an organic polymer, is characterized in that the value of the contrast (C) expressed by the formula (1) C=Y1/Y2 is 70 to 2,000, the value of retardation is 1,000 nm or above, and further, the haze value is 10.0 to 25.0%, (wherein, C is contrast, Y1 is the quantity of a transmission light when light axes of two polarizers are made to be in a parallel state and the polymer film is inserted between these two polarizers, and Y2 is the quantity of the transmission light when light axes of two polarizers are made to be in a perpendicular state and the polymer film is inserted between these two polarizers).
