Abstract:
To provide a polymer flocculant that can greatly improve the dehydration efficiency of sludge by forming firm and coarse flocs in dehydration of hard-to-dehydrate organic sludge and the like.
The polymer flocculant includes (A) a water-soluble polymer containing a water-soluble unsaturated monomer (a) as a structural unit, and (B) an aromatic ring-containing carboxylic acid and/or its salt. Preferably, (A) is a water-soluble polymer obtained by radical polymerization of the water-soluble unsaturated monomer (a) in the presence of (B).
