Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel functionalized polymer providing reduction of hysteresis because it is desired that a rubber vulcanizate exhibiting reduction of hysteresis, i.e. reduction of mechanical energy loss to heat is used in a tire manufacturing technology and the functionalized polymer is advantageous especially in rubber manufacturing.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a functionalized polymer having the steps for (i) preparing a reactive polymer by a lanthanide-based catalyst and (ii) reacting the reactive polymer with a halosilane compound containing an amino group represented by the following formula. X is halogen, Ris a bivalent organic, and Rand Rare monovalent organic or hydrolyzable group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
