To provide a polymer or the like that exhibits an excellent adhesive property and a cycle characteristic.SOLUTION: A polymer is for a binder for a lithium ion secondary battery, includes: a unit U1 derived from a (meth) acrylic single functional monomer M1; a unit U2 derived from a (meth) acrylic acid monomer M2; and a unit U3 derived from a monomer M3 optionally copolymerizable with the M1 and M2.
