Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer modified asphalt composition exhibiting strength required for heavy traffic pavement while achieving load reduction of works in manufacturing, reduction of manufacturing cost or the like by making added amount of SBS as a modifier less, and further capable of enhancing abrasion resistance and impact resistance or the like of a pavement surface by obtaining good toughness and tenacity.SOLUTION: A polymer modified asphalt composition contains, by wt.%, base asphalt:50% to 80%, blown asphalt having penetration degree of over 10 to 40 and penetration index of 3 or more:10% to less than 40%, aromatic heavy mineral oil:over 5% to 10%, SBS:1% to 3% and polycyclic diterpene having a carboxyl group and 20 carbon atoms:0.3% to 1%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
