Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer and an optical lens, wherein, a polymer material provided herein has a high refractive index and a low Abbe number, excels in low birefringence, and has a glass transition temperature suitable for melting and molding.SOLUTION: A polymer has a first structural unit represented by formula (1), and a second structural unit containing a 1-3 membered hydrocarbon aromatic ring having alkylene oxide or alkylene sulfide as a bond. The polymer, in a rubber state, has an absolute value of stress optical coefficient of 1.0×10Paor less (X is O, S or Se; Ris a C1-20 monovalent hydrocarbon group).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
