PURPOSE: To obtain a substance of excellent mechanical strength and high ion conductivity by making a high polymer of a specified composition of copolymer comprising ethylene oxide and methylene oxide contain ionic salt.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer solid electrolyte is made of a high polymer of cross linking network of dimethylene oxide ester or/and diacrylic ester comprising a copolymer of ethylene oxide and methylene oxide each having CH2O as a unit, which high polymer contains ionic salt. Molecular weight of the copolymer of this polymer solid electrolyte is 2,000 to 30,000 and the copolymer of this electrolyte is a random copolymer and/or a block copolymer. In this polymer solid electrolyte, the methylene oxide unit of the copolymer is of 30 mole percentage or less, a chemical compound being compatible with the ionic salt is contained together with the ionic salt, and the cross linking network is formed by radiation of thermal and active beam or an ionizing radiation.
