Title:
POLYMER WEB HAVING BLEND OF SPUNBONDED FILAMENT AND MELT-BLOWN FIBER INTEGRATED INTO SINGLE LAYER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05247822
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nonwoven-formed web from a blend as a composite web of spunbonded filaments and melt-blown fibers.

CONSTITUTION: This nonwoven composite web comprises spunbonded filaments and melt-blown fibers, wherein each of the spunbonded filaments has an average diameter of ≥6 μm and a birefringence of ≥10×10-3 and each of the melt-blown fibers has an average diameter of ≤6 μm and a birefringence of ≥10×10-3 and the spunbonded filaments accounts for ≥50 wt.% of the composite web. Alternatively, the nonwoven composite web may further include melt-brown fibers each with a diameter of ≥6 μm and a birefringence of ≤10×10-3. In both the cases described above, the spunbonded filaments and melt-blown fibers can be produced from polypropylene and/or linear low-density polyethylene, respectively.
