PURPOSE: A polymeric composition, consisting of ethylene-vinyl acetate-carbon monoxide copolymer and hydrotalcite analog compound, and having improved processability, odor, thermal stability, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A polymeric composition, obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts. wt. copolymer consisting of 40W80wt%, preferably 60W70wt% ethylene, 15W 60wt%, preferably 20W35wt% vinyl acetate and 5W30wt%, preferably 5W15wt% carbon monoxide or a mixture thereof with another synthetic resin, preferably vinyl chloride based resin having compatibility with the above-mentioned copolymer with (B) 0.1W10pts.wt., preferably 1W5pts.wt. hydrotalcite analog compound expressed by the formula (R is Al, Cr or Fe; x is 4W6; y is 2; z is 12W18). In case the vinyl chloride based resin is incorporated, the respective components are dry blended or melt blended to give 0.1W2pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. resin, component (B).
