To obtain a new polymerizable enamine having an enamine functional group and a polymerizable ethylenic group and useful as a complex material in a dental field.
This polymerizable enamine compound is represented by formula I [(l) is 1-5; (m) and (n) are each 0 or 1; A is H or methyl; B is COO, CONH, C6H4, etc.; R1 is C2H3, C6H3, etc.; R2 is H, C2H5, an aryl, etc.; R3 is H, C2H5, C3H7, etc., when (n) is 0, and C2H4, C3H6, etc., when (n) is 1; both the R2 and R3 are not simultaneously H; R4 is methyl; R5 is H, C6H5, CO2H, etc.; G is H; X is O, S or imino; Y is O or S; Z is H, OH, CO2H, etc.]. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a β-dicarbonyl or β-dithiocarbonyl compound of formula II with an amine. The compound of formula I is useful for a material having elastic properties, e.g. an impression material, a packing material, preferably a moment packing material, a relining material and an interfacing material in a dental field.
