Abstract:
A polymer which has a constituent component represented by formula (I); a method for producing this polymer; a diamine compound which is useful as a starting material for this polymer; a gas separation membrane which has a gas separation layer that contains this polymer; a gas separation module which comprises this gas separation membrane; and gas separation device. In formula (I), each of RA, RB and RC represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms or a halogen atom. At least one of RA, RB and RC represents an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms or a halogen atom. The above-described alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms is not a trifluoromethyl group; and ** indicates a binding site.
