Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin composition useful for automobiles, electric parts, etc., excellent in corrosion resistance. thermal aging resistance, yellowing resistance, etc., comprising a polyolefinic resin containing a halogen component a hexahydrophthalic ester and a hydrotalcite compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 pts.wt. polyolefinic resin containing a halogen component as a catalytic residue (e.g. polypropylene homopolymer) is blended with (B) 0.03-5 pts.wt. hexahydrophthalic ester of formula I (R1 and R2 are 1-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon which may contain epoxy group) (e.g. 4,5-epoxyhexahydrophthalic acid di-2-ethylhexyl ester) and (C) 0.01-0.5 pt.wt. hydrotalcite compound of formula II (M is one or more bivalent metal atom; (x) and (y) are positive integer; (n) is integer of 0 or more) to give the objective polyolefinic resin composition excellent in corrosion resistance, thermal aging resistance, yellowing resistance, etc., by providing a polyolefin containing a halogen component caused by a catalytic residue with corrosion-resistant effects.
