Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain titled composition of good impact resistance, coatability and printability, by incorporating polyolefin with specific vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer and styrene polymer in specified proportion.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of polyolefin with (B) 1W30pts.wt. of noncrystalline vinyl acetate- ethylene copolymer with a vinyl acetate content 55W90wt% and Mooney viscosity ≥4, (C) 1W30pts.wt. of styrene polymer and (D) 0W140pts.wt. of inorganic filler in such weight ratios as to be 85/15W15/85 (pref. 60/40W20/80) and 100/2W40 (pref. 100/3W25) for (B)/(C) and (A)/(B+C), respectively. The component (B) is preferably one with a vinyl acetate content 52W82wt% and Mooney viscosity ≥7.
