PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fluid containing a specific polyorganosiloxane and tetrafluoroethylene-based resin at a specific ratio, capable of providing high torque transmitting property by reducing lowering of apparent viscosity in high shear area and useful as a packing fluid, etc., for power transmission devices and viscosity fluid joints.
CONSTITUTION: This fluid contains (A) 50-99.99wt.% of a base oil consisting of a polyorganosiloxane expressed by an average unit of the formula [R is a monovalent (halogenated)hydrocarbon group; (a) is 1.9-2.1] and having 500-500000cSt viscosity at 25°C, e.g. polydimethyl(.methylphenyl)siloxane fluid and (B) 0.01-50wt.% of a tetrafluoroethylene-based resin such as a fibrous tetrafluoroethylene-based resin.
