To obtain a composition desirable as a molding material excellent in mechanical properties and heat resistance or as a coating material excellent in scratch resistance, nonstickiness, and weather resistance by mixing an organic resin with a polyorganosiloxane formed from an organochlorosilane.
This composition is prepared by mixing 1-99 pts.wt. organic resin with 99-1 pt.wt. polyorganosiloxane obtained by hydrolytically condensing the following organochlorosilane (1), a mixture of (1) with the following organochlorosilane (2), a mixture of (1) with the following organochlorosilane (3), or a mixture of (1), (2), and (3) by adding it dropwise to an alcohol solvent containing water: (1) R1-SiCl3; (2) R1R2-SiCl2; and (3) R1R2R3-SiCl (wherein R1, R2, and R3 are each independently a 1-30C linear saturated or radical- polymerizable unsaturated hydrocarbon group, an 8-14C radical-polymerizable aromatic hydrocarbon group, or the like).
