Title:
POLYPEPTIDE ENHANCING CELLULOSIC BIOMASS DEGRADATION ACTIVITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013169154
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a polypeptide enhancing saccharification efficiency with a cellulase in a reaction temperature region of normal fermentation microorganisms except thermotolerant yeasts.

There are provided a polypeptide which is an isolated polypeptide derived from Neurospora crassa and containing a specific amino acid sequence, having a crystalline cellulose-binding ability and enhancing saccharification activity of a cellulase, a method for saccharification treatment in which cellulosic biomass is saccharified with a cellulase in the presence of the polypeptide and a method for producing alcohol by carrying out fermentation using a sugar component obtained by the treatment as a raw material.
