Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance rotational efficiency of a rotor by constituting a stator and a rotor of a superconducting winding such that large and small windings forming the rotor constitute a current loop being exposed to a field, switching parallel and series diodes disposed between the large and small windings and leading a captured flux from the small winding to the large winding. CONSTITUTION: A stator assembly 3 comprises winding 7a-7c forming three- phase. A rotor assembly 5 turns around a rotary shaft 9 and comprises a first large winding 13 and a second small winding 15 having axes intersecting perpendicularly each other. The windings 13 and 15 are connected to constitute a current loop 16 being exposed to a field in a motor 1. The windings 13 and 15 are connected with parallel and series diodes D1 and D2. A voltage is applied to the stator 3 and switching of the diodes D1, D2 is controlled to lead a captured flux from the small winding 15 to the large winding 13 thus turning the rotor assembly 5. This arrangement enhances the motor efficiency.
