Abstract:
To provide a curable composition that has solubility in various solvents (organic solvents excluding highly toxic organic solvents, for example cyclohexanone), a cured film of which curable composition exhibiting excellent humidity resistance.SOLUTION: The present disclosure provides a terminal modified polyphenylene ether in which all or part of terminal hydroxy groups of polyphenylene ether are modified with curable functional groups. The polyphenylene ether is obtained from a phenol satisfying at least Condition 1 (having hydrogen atoms at ortho position and para position) and has an inclination of less than 0.6 calculated by a conformation plot, the curable functional group being at least one selected from a functional group containing an unsaturated carbon bond, a carboxyl group, a cyclic (thio) ether group, an acid anhydride group, a maleimide group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
