PURPOSE: To obtain the title yarn having excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance and flame retardance by blending a specific polyphenylene sulfide resin with a polyphenylene sulfide ketone resin in a specific state in a molten form and spinning.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 1-70 pst.wt. polyphenylene sulfide resin (0.2-1.6dl/g reduced viscosity in 0.2g/dl concentration in α-chloronaphthalene as a solvent at 210°C) having ≥70mol% repeating unit shown by formula I is blended in a molten state with (B) 30-99wt.% polyphenylene sulfide ketone resin (0.4-1.0dl/g reduced viscosity in 0.5g/dl concentration in conc. sulfuric acid as a solvent at 30°C) having ≥70mol% repeating unit shown by formula II to give an alloy having glass transition point Tg and crystal melting point Tm shown by the formulas Tg1<Tg<Tg2 and Tm1<Tm<Tm2 (affixes 1 and 2 show the component A and the component B, respectively) and 7.5-80g/minute melt flow value (load 5kg; temperature Tm°C+30°C).
