To provide a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin composition for a molded metal composite excellent in control of an NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) generation amount and a chloroform extraction amount and useful for application particularly to e.g. the pore sealing plate of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor.

The PPS resin composition is obtained by blending (a) 100 pts.wt. of a PPS resin with (b) 40-170 pts.wt. of a fibrous inorganic filler and (c) 20-170 pts.wt. of a non-fibrous inorganic filler, the total of the component (b) and the component (c) being 100-240 pts.wt. The content of NMP in the gas generated when the resin composition is heated at 320°C for 1 hr in an atmosphere of nitrogen is 2 ppm or lower. The amount of the resin composition extracted with chloroform by the Soxhlet extraction method for wholly extracting under reflux at 85°C for 5 hr is 0.2 wt.% or less.
