Title:
POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0343451
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition having remarkably reduced metal corrosion in melting and thermal aging at the melting point or below by blending a polyphenylene sulfide resin with gamma-alumina and a specific metal carbonate. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition obtained by melt-kneading (A) 100 pts.wt. polyphenylene sulfide resin containing preferably >=90mol% structural units expressed by the formula with (B)0,01-10 pts.wt. gamma-alumina having 0.2-500mum, preferably 1-300mum particle diameter and >=3m<2>/g, preferably >=10m<2>/g specific surface area and (C)0.01-10 pts.wt. one or more compounds selected from zinc carbonate, manganese carbonate and magnesium carbonate and, as necessary, adding a reinforcing agent, filler, lubricant (e.g. graphite), stabilizer, etc., thereto, mixing the resultant blend in, e.g. a Henschel mixer, then feeding the obtained mixture to a twin-screw extruder, etc., and melt-kneading the mixture at 260-360 deg.C.
