To provide a polypropylene-based resin film for protecting surfaces, which is excellent in heat-resistant dimensional stability and planarity, is excellent in impact resistance and lamination processability, is less in fisheyes, is good in visibility, when adhered to an adherend, and is suitable, for example, as a substrate film for a protecting film, and to provide a protecting film comprising the polypropylene-based resin film for protecting surfaces and an adhesive layer disposed thereon.
The polypropylene-based resin film substantially containing a polypropylene-based resin as a main component includes: the xylene-soluble content at 20°C is 2 to 9%; the content of a nucleating agent is ≤100 ppm; the crystallinity of the film is 34 to 65%; the birefringence (Δn) is 0.4×10-3 to 2.5×10-3; the luminosity value L is ≥70%, the color difference value a is -3.0 to -0.5, or the color difference value b is 3.0 to 8.0.
