Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polypropylene resin compsn. excellent in clarity and impact resistance and suitable for containers, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The polypropylene resin compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. resin compsn. comprising 98-50wt.% propylene polymer, 2-50wt.% ethylene polymer or ethylene-α-olefin copolymer which is obtd. by (co)polymerizing ethylene alone or together with a 3-20C α-olefin in the presence of a catalyst essentially contg. a group IV transition metal compd. contg. a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl backbone and has a density of 0.86-0.97g/cm3, a melt flow rate of 0.01-50g/10min, a mol.wt. distribution parameter (Mw/Mn) of 1.5-5.0, and a compsn. distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.2 or lower, and 0-48wt.% other ethylene polymer, and further contains 0.01-2 pts.wt. nucleating agent.
