Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. which is odorless and excellent in transparency, moldability, and impact resistance by compounding a PP resin, a thermoplastic elastomer, a metal salt of an arom. phosphorus compd., and an org. peroxide, each in a specified amt., and thermally treating the resulting compsn. at a specified temp. CONSTITUTION:99-70 pts.wt. PP resin (e.g. PP), 1-30 pts.wt thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. an ethylene-butene copolymer rubber), 0.01-3 pts.wt. metal salt of an arom. phosphorus compd. [e.g. sodium 2,2'-methylenebis-(4,6-di-t-butylphenyl) phosphate], and 0.0005-0.05 pt.wt. org. peroxide [e.g. 2,5-dimethyl-di(t-butylperoxy) hexane] are compounded and the resulting compsn. is thermally treated at 180-350 deg.C.
