PURPOSE: To prevent smoking during processing and staining of molds and rolls and to improve transparency, by blending a polypropylene resin with a specified nucleating agent and an antioxidant.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. polypropylene resin is blended with 0.05W0.5pts.wt. nucleating agent (a) of the formula (wherein R is a 1W3C alkyl, halogen, a 1W4C alkoxy and R groups may be the same or different from each other; m, n are independently an integer of 0W3) and 0.01W1.0pt.wt. antioxidant (b) having a weight reduction initiating temp. of 15°C or above. As said polypropylene resin, propylene/α-olefin random copolymer resins are preferred. As the antioxidant (b), tetrakis-[methylene-3-(3',5'-di-t-butyl-4'-hydroxyphenyl) propionate]methane is preferred.
