Title:
POLYSULFONE-BASED HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE TYPE BLOOD PURIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006288414
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a blood purifier adapted as an HDFIII-b type blood purifier presented as a guideline by Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy, which is a dry type.

For the polysulfone-based hollow fiber membrane type blood purifier, while cow blood adjusted to hematocrit (Ht) 40±2.0% and total protein concentration 6.5±0.5 g/dl is made to flow at 300 ml/min and at a filtration speed 90 ml/min to the blood purifier (inner diameter reference membrane area 1.5 m2) filled with polysulfone-based permselective hollow fiber membrane bundle containing polyvinylpyrroliidone, when sieving coefficients of β2-microglobulin after 15 minutes and after 120 minutes after starting hemofiltration are respectively defined as SCβ2MG (15 minutes) and SCβ2MG (120 minutes), it is SCβ2MG (120 minutes)/SCβ2MG (15 minutes)≥0.6. When the hollow fiber membrane bundle is divided into 10 pieces in a longitudinal direction and when a test determined by standards of approval for the manufacture of hemodialysis apparatuses is performed for respective parts, the hydrogen peroxide elution amount of obtained extract is ≤5 ppm in all the parts.
