To provide a polysulfone-based permselecive hollow fiber membrane bundle having high performance and high safety, excellent in preservation stability and assembling properties of module, and particularly suitable for a hemofiltration hollow fiber type blood cleaner having high water permeability used for therapy of especially chronic renal failure, and its production method.
A polysulfone-based permselective hollow fiber membrane bundle is characterized in that the UV (220-350 nm) absorbance in a liquid extractant of hollow fiber membranes is less than 0.10 when a test defined by dialytic type artificial kidney device-manufacturing approval standards is applied to ten hollow membrane bundles, which are obtained by dividing the hollow fiber membrane bundle in a longitudinal direction after the hollow fiber membrane bundle is presented in a dry state for three months at room temperature in a dry box (atmosphere is air) or the UV (220-350 nm) absorbance in the liquid extractant of hollow fiber membranes is 0.10 or below when the test defined by dialytic type artificial kidney device-manufacturing approval standards is applied to the ten hollow membrane bundles, which are obtained by dividing the hollow membrane bundle in the longitudinal direction after the hollow fiber membrane bundle is presented in a wet state for one year at room temperature.
