Title:
POLYSULFONE-BASED PERMSELECTIVE HOLLOW YARN MEMBRANE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005349093
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a polysulfone-based hollow yarn membrane which is excellent in safety and functional stability, is excellent in module assemblability, has little change on standing during the hemodialysis and is suitable for a highly water-permeable blood purifier for the treatment of chronic renal failure.

The polysulfone-based permselective hollow yarn membrane of this invention is a polysulfone-based hollow yarn membrane which contains a hydrophilic polymer and simultaneously satisfies the conditions that (a) the content of the hydrophilic polymer at the outermost layer of a blood contacting side surface is 1.1 times or more of the content of the hydrophilic polymer at a surface neighboring layer of the blood contacting side surface, (b) the content of the hydrophilic polymer at the outermost layer of an opposite surface of the blood contacting side is 1.1 times or more of the content of the hydrophilic polymer at the outermost layer of the blood contacting side surface, and (c) the above membrane is comprised of an aggregate of agglomerated particles and the hydrophilic polymer is concentrated on a surface of the agglomerated particle.
