Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for decomposing a polyurethane which can recover a polyisocyanate compound and a polyol from the polyurethane. SOLUTION: This process for decomposing the polyurethane comprises a decomposition step of decomposing the polyurethane by heating at 200-350 deg.C in an inert gas to form a decomposed product and a separation step of bringing the above decomposed product into contact with a supercritical carbon dioxide gas to extract and separating at least one of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component in the above decomposed product.
