Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a polyurethane foam capable of advantageously forming a polyurethane foam having excellent flame retardancy and a uniform density distribution.SOLUTION: In producing a polyurethane foam by mixing and reacting a composition A mainly composed of a polyol and a composition B mainly composed of a polyisocyanate, followed by foaming and curing, the objective polyurethane foam is produced by 1) incorporating an alkali metal carboxylate catalyst and/or a quaternary ammonium salt catalyst into the composition A, 2) incorporating a foaming agent composed of red phosphorus into the composition A and/or the composition B, and 3) in the production site of the polyurethane foam, adding a foaming agent I composed of critical, subcritical or liquid carbon dioxide to the composition A and/or the composition B, followed by immediately proceeding the reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
