PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having low toxicity and useful as a polyurethane product such as film, coating, etc., by reacting 1,11-undecane diisocyanate compound with a polyol.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by reacting a 1,11-undecane diisocyanate compound with a polyol (e.g. diols), thereby forming urethane bonds. The reaction is pref. carried out at 20W160°C. The NCO/OH ratio is selected according to the use, i.e., pref. 0.5W1.2 for film and coating, 0.5W1.0 for electrical insulation encapsulation, and casting, and 0.1W0.7 for adhesive and curing agent.
