Abstract:
To provide a high-strength polyvinyl alcohol-based interpenetrating type gel that is excellent in stimulus curing and safety, has high mechanical strength and is applicable in a wide range of uses.SOLUTION: The polyvinyl alcohol-based interpenetrating type gel contains a first polymer network and a second polymer network. The first polymer network is (1) a polyvinyl alcohol crosslinked body produced by crosslinking (1') a polyvinyl alcohol having a radically polymerizable group and the second polymer network is (2) a water-soluble polymer crosslinked body produced by crosslinking (2') a water-soluble polymer having a carboxyl group with a metal ion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
