Abstract:
To provide a polyvinyl alcohol fiber obtained by a production method in which a draw ratio is low and having excellent strength, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: In a polyvinyl alcohol fiber, regarding the value A and the value B obtained when the long periodic image of X-ray small angle scattering intensity is measured, A/B satisfies 1.6 or more. A: the X-ray small angle scattering intensity of the polyvinyl alcohol fiber is measured, among four images composing the long period image of the X-ray small angle scattering intensity, any one image (X1) is selected, an another image (X2) at the side same as the image (X1) viewed from an equatorial line among the four images is decided, and the average value of the two of the maximum value of the peak scattering intensity derived from the image (X1) (X1-maxvalue) and the maximum value of the peak scattering intensity derived from the image (X2) (X1-maxvalue) is defined as A,and B: between the pixel number position of the maximum value of the peak scattering intensity derived from the image (X1) and the pixel number position of the maximum value of the peak scattering intensity derived from the image (X2), the minimum value of the scattering intensity is defined as the value B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
