Abstract:
To provide a polyvinyl alcohol film that is useful as a raw material for manufacturing a polarizing film that has excellent water resistance and polarizing performance and at the same time has no dyeing irregularities, and to provide a polarizing film and a polarizing plate using the polyvinyl alcohol film.
The polyvinyl alcohol film is made of a vinyl alcohol-based polymer consisting of a unit containing a cationic group by 0.01-20 mol.% and an α-olefin unit with carbon number of 4 or less by 0.5-24 mol.%. The polarizing film and the polarizing plate are manufactured by the polyvinyl alcohol film.
