Abstract:
To obtain a polyvinyl alcohol film better in transparency compared to the conventional membrane prepared from a composition of a PVA-based polymer and a starch because of excellence in compatibility and in membrane physical properties such as strength, elongation, modulus and toughness.
This polyvinyl alcoholic film comprises polyvinyl alcohol and starch, and satisfies the formula (Tm0-Tm)/A>6 [Tm0 (°C) is the melting point of the polyvinyl alcohol; Tm (°C) is the melting point of the film; A is the formulation proportion of the starch (0≤A≤1)].
