Abstract:
To obtain a polyvinyl alcohol, a protective solution containing the same, and a polyvinyl acetate emulsion.SOLUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol of the invention has a ratio (B): (B)=g(2)-1(τ=100 μs)/g(2)-1(τ=0.5 μs), which is obtained by measuring a polyvinyl alcohol solution of 6.4 wt.% by a dynamic light scattering (DLS) device. The ratio (B) has a range of 0<(B)<0.38. The polyvinyl alcohol of the invention has a good protective colloid effect, allows reduction in the amount of use of the polyvinyl alcohol, and has relatively stable emulsion viscosity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
