PURPOSE: To produce the resin composition free from offensive odor and useful as a vibration energy-absorbing material having excellent weather resistance by adding specific amounts of two specific kinds of phthalic acid esters to a polyvinyl chloride resin.

CONSTITUTION: The resin composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyvinyl chloride with (B) 5-200 pts.wt. (preferably 10-100 pts.wt.) of a phthalic acid ester of formula I (R1 and R2 are each a monocyclic hydrocarbon group) (preferably dicyclohexyl phthalate), (C) 5-200 pts.wt. (preferably 10-100 pts.wt.) of a phthalic acid ester of formula II (R3 is same as R1; R4 is a 1-6C alkyl) (preferably butyl benzyl phthalate) and (D) 3-100 pts.wt. of a hydrogenated rosin-based resin and/or alicyclic hydrogenated petroleum resin.
