Abstract:

PURPOSE: A polyvinyl chloride resin composition that is prepared by initiating free radicals in a composition comprising polyvinyl chloride resin, Pb-Ba-Si sulfate complex and polyfinctional monomers to effect reticulation, thus having increased resistances to thermal deformation and decomposition.

CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 100 parts by wt of polyvinyl chloride resin, (B) over 30 parts of Pb-Ba-Si sulfate complex and (C) over 3 parts of a polyfunctional monomer bearing 2 or more vinyl, acrylic or methacryl groups as divinylbenzene or polyethylene dimethacrylate is treated with energy-rich rays or organic peroxide to form radicals in the composition and network structure is formed in the composition.
