A

PURPOSE: To obtain a PVC composition having improved processability and physical properties, by impregnating porous PVC particles with a monomer consisting of a specified ester or ether and, after addition of a vinyl chloride monomer, polymerizing the mixture.

CONSTITUTION: Porous polyvinyl chloride particles (A) are impregnated with (B) a monomer consisting of an alkyl acrylate and/or an alkyl vinyl ether and/or a fatty acid vinyl ester, wherein the alkyl moiety has 4W18 carbon atoms, and the mixture is polymerized. Then, at a conversion 0W90%, (C) a vinyl chloride monomer is added, and the polymerization is continued. Thus, a resin composition comprising a monomer B/monomer C polymer formed within the polyvinyl chloride particles A is obtained. In said composition, the weight ratio, (B)+(C)/(A), is 2/100W30/100, and the weight ratio, (B)/(C), is 99/1W60/40.
